Here at Grandio, it’s not uncommon for us to receive photos from proud customers upon completion of their kits. This is one of our favorite things about the job. It never gets old seeing the finished product of a newly constructed Grandio in its new home.
It was no exception receiving the above photo from our new friend Brady in Central California. Brady attached the photo with the simple line “Our house is a very very very fine house.” Those words and that song, written by Graham Nash and featured on Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s 1970 album Deja Vu, remind us that the greenhouse is often more than just a place to garden.
Over the years, we’ve seen a growing trend in the hobby greenhouse industry. While the primary use of a greenhouse will always be to propagate and grow, more and more customers are using their Grandios as backyard getaways. Whether it’s a climate-controlled retreat from winter or a place to sit and relax after a long day of work, a greenhouse is the perfect escape. From cigar room to jacuzzi hut, the possibilities are endless.
Take a look at what one customer dubbed her “Hyacinth House” in Colorado.
“My Grandio Ascent is my “Hyacinth House.” It is admittedly more a garden retreat than a practical work space. I love to sit out there with a cup of tea and read, especially when it rains. My toddler grandson plays with the rocks and the seashells and helps water the flowers.”
Here’s another great example from a Grandio customer from Michigan.
“Here it is! It was a birthday gift to my wife, and she absolutely loves her new “Happy Place” greenhouse.” Check out that flair!
