Grandio Summit Roof Vent Kit
The Grandio Summit Roof Vent Kit adds an additional operable roof vent to your Grandio Summit greenhouse, allowing hot air to escape naturally from the top of the structure where it accumulates. At $89, each kit converts one panel position along the bottom of the roof into an operable vent window.
Important: This kit includes the vent frame hardware only — it does not include a new window panel. You will trim your existing roof panel down to size to fit the new vent frame. Automatic vent openers are sold separately.
How Is the Summit Roof Vent Kit Different from Other Grandio Vent Kits?
Unlike the Ascent and Elite roof vent kits — which reuse the existing roof panel as-is — the Summit kit requires you to cut your existing roof panel down to size to fit the new vent frame. Each kit replaces one panel along the bottom row of the roof. This is an important installation distinction to be aware of before ordering.
Why Add More Roof Vents to a Summit Greenhouse?
The Grandio Summit is a 12-foot-wide greenhouse, making it one of the largest structures in the Grandio lineup. Larger greenhouse volumes accumulate more heat, and additional roof vents are one of the most effective passive ventilation upgrades for maintaining safe growing temperatures during hot weather. Hot air rises and concentrates at the roof — each additional operable vent provides another escape point for that heat buildup.
Does This Kit Include an Automatic Vent Opener?
No — automatic vent openers are sold separately. This kit provides the hardware to make the roof panel position operable manually. If you want the vent to open and close automatically based on temperature — without electricity or wiring — add a Grandio automatic vent opener to your order. This is especially useful for growers who can't be at the greenhouse every day.
Is This Kit Compatible with My Grandio Greenhouse?
This roof vent kit is designed exclusively for the Grandio Summit greenhouse model. It is not compatible with other Grandio models such as the Ascent, Elite, or Element, which have their own dedicated roof vent kits with different installation requirements.
