What is the Grandio Scholarship Giveaway?
Backyard Living Source, Inc. (BLS), the company behind Grandio Greenhouses, awards financial aid to students pursuing horticulture, agriculture, plant science, or business. No purchase is necessary. Void where prohibited.
How much is the award, and how many students win?
Twice a year, 5 eligible applicants are randomly selected to receive $500 each. Awards are paid by check directly to the recipient’s school.
What can the money be used for?
Only required tuition, fees, books, or supplies tied to enrollment at an eligible school for the semester the scholarship is awarded
Who is eligible?
Be legal residents of the United States, Washington, D.C., or a U.S. territory
Be attending an accredited undergraduate or graduate institution, or a higher-education technical/trade school, during the semester the award is given
Be majoring in horticulture, agriculture, plant science, or business
Who cannot apply?
Employees of Backyard Living Source, Inc. and their immediate family members are not eligible. Previous winners are also ineligible.
Is this a renewable scholarship?
No. It is a one-time, non-renewable award. A student may win only once.
If I don’t win, can I apply again?
Yes. You may apply for more than one drawing period. Limit one entry per person per drawing.
When can I apply?
There are two entry periods each year. Upcoming cycles. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. MT on the last day of the entry period.

How do I enter?
During an open period, go to www.GrandioGreenhouses.com/scholarship and complete the online registration form in English. Incomplete entries, late entries, and entries that don’t meet the Official Rules are disqualified. Script- or bot-generated entries are not eligible.
Do I have to buy a greenhouse or anything else to enter?
No. No purchase is necessary.
How are winners chosen?
Five recipients are selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries for that period. Drawings are conducted by an owner of BLS. Odds depend on how many eligible entries are received.
How and when will I know if I won?
Potential recipients are notified by email and/or phone. Winners are also posted on the scholarship page after the selection process is finalized: www.grandiogreenhouses.com/scholarship.
What do winners have to do?
Potential recipients must electronically sign and return a Declaration Package (including a Declaration of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity release where allowed, and assignment of rights) within 5 days of the notification attempt. If paperwork is late, incomplete, or the person is ineligible, that award is forfeited and an alternate may be selected.
How is the award paid?
By check, paid directly to the recipient’s school. Awards cannot be transferred or substituted, except that BLS may substitute an award of equal or greater value.
Will applying put me on an email list?
Yes. Completing the entry form opts you into the BLS email marketing list. You can unsubscribe at any time. Opting out does not affect eligibility or odds of winning. Personal information is used to administer the scholarship and is subject to the Grandio Privacy Policy.
Can Grandio use my name if I win?
Yes. Accepting an award gives BLS permission to use the applicant’s name, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
Is this scholarship affiliated with a college or university?
No. The program is not affiliated with or promoted by any college or university.
