What Does the Moisture Control Kit Do?

Twin-wall polycarbonate panels have hollow channels (flutes) running through them. Without proper sealing, these channels become entry points for insects, dirt, moisture, mold, and algae — which degrade the panels over time, reduce light transmission, and create an unsightly buildup that's difficult to clean. The Moisture Control Kit seals these channels at both ends using anti-dust tape and silicone caulk, preventing infiltration while still allowing condensation to escape.

How Does the Anti-Dust Tape Work?

The anti-dust tape uses 45-micron microporous filters — fine enough to block insects, dust, mold spores, and algae from entering the polycarbonate flutes, while still allowing water vapor (condensation) to escape. This breathable-but-protective barrier is critical for maintaining panel clarity and longevity. The tape also has a fungicidal coating that actively prevents mold and algae from establishing on the tape surface itself.

This kit is designed specifically for the Grandio Element greenhouse model and its twin-wall polycarbonate panel system.
